Go From Knee Pain to No Pain

The major cause of most knee pain is either injury to the knee or a result of arthritis knee pain. Both can cause severe and debilitating discomfort. In order to treat knee pain correctly the reason for the pain must first be determined. If you experience soreness in the knee that only seems to worsen it is time to see a doctor in order for the pain to be diagnosed.

Knee Pain

If it is determined that arthritis is the cause of your knee pain the doctor will do further tests to determine if the arthritis is osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis. Osteoarthritis results from wear and tear to the knee while rheumatoid arthritis is an inflammation in the knee area that leads to pain. Each form of arthritis is treated by different means, as is pain resulting from a knee injury.

It is sometimes seen in younger patients who have a genetic predisposition to the disease or have had untreated knee injuries in the past.

The most popular treatment for this form of arthritis knee pain is pain medication, but it should be a last resort. If you choose to avoid taking pain medication for an extended period of time there are many natural methods to help ease the pain and restore movement to the knee area. Rheumatoid Arthritis

Rheumatoid arthritis can lead to knee pain resulting from inflammation in the knee area. Unfortunately this form of arthritis does not only affect the cartilage attached to the knee joints. It will also affect muscles, tendons, and ligaments in the knee area. This form of arthritis can eventually lead to the cartilage in the knee deteriorating.

Exercise is a natural treatment for arthritis knee pain that has a high success rate of repairing the area and slowing down the tissue destruction in the knee.
